What to Pack?

Ever thought packing is easy, talk to my uncle who traveled around the world and offered this advice: “Bring two sets of cloths, when one set is drying you wear the other one! After a few weeks on the road you won’t care anymore!”

With that in mind I hardly packed any clothes, but still managed to pack a total of 30 pounds (15kg). Most of that is gear that you think you can’t live without. But since I will “schlep” all of this “can’t live without stuff” every single day I am sure that some of it will be given away as it is totally unnecessary.

What has been proven invaluable so far is my ipod touch – maps, social media, email, finding things.

What’s the one thing you could not live without? What would you pack?

To get you going, here’s a pic of the few things I’m carrying with me on the road (minus my surfboard!)

Aloha e Hawai'i

Good call on the music Grant. With Music, everything goes better.

I haven’t really started listening to my ipod yet…but I have a long bus ride tomorrow and I’m sure some hip hop tunes will amp me up for my first Costa Rica surf session soon 🙂

With the advances in technology, this question is getting easier and easier to answer. Today I would say: My iPhone. A few years ago, I wouldn’t be so sure. Maybe a beer bottle opener?
